Decorating the nursery.

This past Thursday and Friday, I spent lots of time in the baby's nursery.

What started out looking like this...

is looking more like this...

I folded endless amounts of baby boy clothes, painted a pretty green color on the walls (which may be the most difficult project EVER when you're home alone with a two-year-old) and dragged out all the baby gear! I am in full nesting mode at this point.

We still have to paint the trim around the ceiling and add the wall decals and pictures.

I can't wait to see the finished project when we're done!

Family Day

Once again my poor blog has been neglected, but not without good reason. We have been super busy with family visits and birthdays and nursery decorating. It's been pretty chaotic around here and time seems to be flying by with no signs of slowing down.

I'm going to rewind a bit and recap our last couple of weeks... with lots of pictures!

The weekend my parents were here, I believe it was around May 12th, Wil's Batallion had their annual Family Day. It was huge compared to what I had envisioned. There were at least 15 bouncy houses, 2 large tents serving hot dogs, burgers, chips, etc. They even had a petting zoo and pony rides set up on the parade field. Tucker LOVED the horses... and the ice cream sandwiches!

I think Tucker's least favorite part of the Family Day festivities were the bouncy houses. He does NOT like them! At first I thought that he didn't like to be closed in the netted area but then I tried putting him on an open bouncy basketball court... and he would not stand up. He just scooted around on his bum until he got the ball and then climbed off the edge.

Of course, once the shoes were off his feet, he refused to put them back on! So we probably looked like the W.T. family letting our kid walk around barefoot.

Can you tell Little Man and his Papaaaaa are best friends?
Their clothes even matched... which was definitely NOT planned.
It makes my heart so happy to see them together.

My Baby is TWO!

Well, I guess he's not a baby anymore... even though he'll always be my baby.

I love you Little Man, more than you will ever know. I love watching you grow and learn new things on a daily basis. You make this world such a better place and I could not imagine life without you. I'm so proud to be your mommy and I can't wait to see what the future holds for us.

Happy Birthday, Tucker-Bug!
